SAKHAWAT HUSSAIN (Managing Director)
Sakhawat Hussain was born in the village Kanday, Ghanche District, Gilgit Baltistan in 1988. He started his early mountaineering work as base camp manager in 2007 and in 2012 was appointed General Manager for Summit Karakoram. Three years later, in 2015, he was promoted to Managing Director, He studied Korean Language in Numl University in Islamabad where, in 2014, he placed second in a Korean language speech contest. He has developed a reputation as an expedition and trekking organizer, with a special affinity for marshaling and logistics, key attributes for major expeditions. This talent has been particularly evident in his management of some 25 larger expeditions as well as trekking groups in the Karakoram and Himalaya ranges since his commence in mountaineering, he has led successful past 25 larger Expeditions besides trekking groups in Karakoram and Himalaya ranges. At the moment he is concentrating his efforts on bringing domestic and foreign teams to experience the Karakoram Range.
